Bethany can crawl! Well sort-of. She’s only done it a few times. But for now, scooting is still her main mode of transportation. She can also pull her upper body up enough to get into a kneeling position. She has mastered her pincher-grasp and can easily pick up little things now. Handy at dinner time! I''ve been giving her tiny pieces of banana to hold her over while we''re eating our dinner and 95% of them make it into her mouth now. She is calling me “mama” and Josh “dada”! At first we thought she was just making the sounds but now there is absolutely no doubt that she is actually correctly calling us by those names. She must be going through a big growth spurt because she has started waking up for a nighttime feeding and she hasn’t done that since she was a newborn. I''m anxious to see if she''s grown much at her upcoming 9 month check-up because this is the point where they want to do testing on her if she is still tiny.
Wyatt says and thinks the cutest things. It’s hilarious to see a 2 year old’s perspective on the world. Just simple things that we take for granted in life are viewed by him with fascination and amazement. He is so good at problem solving and fine-motor skills. There isn''t a childproof invention that he can''t figure out. He studies his toys and objects in our house to figure how they can come apart and go back together. He reminds me so much of his uncle Jacob as a child. Wyatt loves to jump up into the air as high as he can and he''s been insisting on wearing his shoes all day long. He draws lots of circles at coloring time. He begs us to get on all fours like a horsey and let him ride on our backs.
I couldn’t choose which photos to upload so I uploaded them all. The kids just get cuter and cuter!
