Wyatt is THE cutest baby we''ve ever laid eyes upon! We were discussing the other day whether this may be because we are biased since he is our own child. We came to the conclusion that that is not the case. He really is the cutest baby ever born!! We''re so lucky! Check out his newest pictures. As you can see, he gets cuter and cuter each day.
We just got back from a visit to my hometown up north. I''m already homesick! I think no matter how long I live down here, home will always feel like my parents house.
We had lots of fun. I went shopping for a bridesmaid dress with my friends, went bowling with my brothers (and my pelvis didn''t even hurt!), and I got to see my mom''s new horses. They look like a lot of work to me but she has fun doing it. Wyatt got to meet his Uncle Kenny, his great-grandparents, his McDowell cousins, and my friends Dawn and Matt. My mom cooked great food for us all week and my cousin Rebecca made a yummy dinner for us Tuesday night. My family spent a lot of time with Wyatt and I think Josh and I slept more than we''ve ever slept since he''s been born. It was great!
We took a ton of pictures and I added them to the Feb folder. I also put up some pictures of me when I was a baby. Wyatt looks a lot like me! It''s starting to look like his eyes might turn brown. I think he may be going through a growth spurt because he''s eating like crazy. He loves looking around and taking everything in. The past week he''s slept for 6-7 hours at a time during the nights so we''re going to start transitioning him out of the bassinette in our room and into the crib in his own room. Woohoo!
Hard to believe Wyatt is 2 months old today. To celebrate, we took him out to the pediatrician to get his 2 month vaccines! He''s not doing so hot after that. I gave him Tylenol and he''s taking really light naps where he suddenly wakes up screaming at the top of his little lungs. I have officially declared today Wyatt Day and we''re planning on watching movies all evening while I hold him in my arms and rock him. I hate for him to be sick like this- poor thing! I was surprised at his measurements today- His weight is 11 pounds 5 ounces, which is the 40th percentile. His length is 22 inches which is 30th percentile and his head is 40th percentile. I thought for sure he''d be bigger with all he''s been eating!
I''ll try to get his 2 month picture later if he cheers up. I have some others to add as well. You wouldn''t believe how cute this kid is! The pictures don''t do him justice. He smiles and laughs all the time now and has so much personality! Every time I sing the song "Elvira" to him he cracks up laughing.
In pelvis news, I had an Xray today that showed that my pelvis has closed up 0.8mm in the past month. We''re gonna give it 6 more months now before we consider surgery. Having a plate in me the rest of my life is a big decision to make. If I can force myself to sleep on my sides that should help put more pressure on it. I sure hope I don''t go through this ordeal with every child I have!
