Bethany took her very first steps today and we are just as proud as can be! I was beaming all day. She can also stand for awhile without holding onto anything. I''m sure that actual walking won''t be too far off. So exciting!!! And now I get to go shopping with her for some good walking shoes. The first of many shoe shopping trips for mother and daughter :)
Nanny and cousin Gavin came to stay a week with Wyatt and Bethany while Mommy and Daddy vacationed in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. In the days leading up to vacation I was getting anxious about how the kids would do being apart from us. But when I saw how much fun they were having when Nanny and Gavin arrived, I knew that everything was gonna be great. Every time we called to talk to Wyatt, he was too busy having fun to talk to us! I figured that with Gavin being a few years older than Wyatt that they wouldn''t play a lot together but it sounds like they had a blast playing together and I''m sure that Bethany tagged along a lot. With us living so far away from Josh''s family, it''s special for the kids to spend so much time with them.
In Himan Kids World, Wyatt is as independant as ever. He wants to do evvvvverything by himself with no help. He wants Bethany to follow him everywhere and takes delite in policing her. I must hear "nooooo Sissy!" a hundred times a day. His other favorite thing to say is "stuck". "I''m stuck" "It''s stuck". Everything is stuck I guess!
Bethany can say a couple more words and can parrot lots of things back to us as well. She''s walking along the furniture pretty fast and can push the Lion toy around too. She claps and waves and pretty much tries to do everything that she sees Wyatt doing. She still loves to sing "EIEIO" and is very excited when the rest of us join in with her song.
