It looks like we''re going to bring in the New Year with this never-ending stomach bug. Wyatt is on day 8 of only Pedialyte. Every attempt to give him formula, saltines or even jello ends up with him throwing up. Every now and then he will eat a Baby Mum-Mum (rice things). I don''t even want to know how much weight he''s lost. Mommy''s still sick too but they gave me IV fluids since I''m pregnant. It was nice for a few hours then I was back to my old sick self. Josh was the lucky one and was only sick for a few days. He has been taking great care of us. I think Wyatt is starting to prefer him to me now and I''m hoping that once things go back to normal he''ll like me best again ;)
Somehow in the midst of all this illness, Wyatt took his first steps the day after Christmas! He took 2 and then fell down but he looked so confident and determined. I''m sure he''ll get it after he gets all better and healthy. He can also stand without holding on to anything but we still have many falls. The push-toy he got for Christmas seems to have boosted his walking skills a lot.
Today was my last scheduled ultrasound for awhile. I get to stop the blood thinner injections and Progesterone pills in one week. If these ultrasounds are any indication of this baby''s personality, we have got our hands full! At every single ultrasound the baby has moved around so much that we can''t even get good ultrasound pictures like we did with Wyatt! The baby is between 3- 3.5 inches long now- it''s hard to tell exactly because its legs are always bent. My placenta is low and in front this time. With Wyatt, it was in the back so I was able to feel his movements more strongly. But sometimes I swear I feel this baby move already. I still think it''s a boy but it won''t be long now before we know for sure- probably sometime around Wyatt''s birthday we will get to find out. I''ll have to put up that guessing game again before then.
Happy New Year, everyone!
