We are all enjoying the Christmas season and looking forward to seeing our families soon. Our favorite Christmas memory with the kids this year has been watching Rudolph together. The first time we all watched it together Josh and I were surprised at what a hit the "snow monster" was. Wyatt and Bethany are now obsessed with him. When he comes on the scene they yell "NO NO SNOW MONSTER!" and then when he leaves they yell "COME BACK SNOW MONSTER!" They talk about him all day. The first thing I hear every morning over Bethany''s baby monitor is "MONSTER! MONSTER!" They aren''t scared of him or anything- they''re just huge fans :)
Baby #3 is doing well. He is up in my ribs now but soon he won''t have enough room to move a lot. If he arrives at 38 weeks like his siblings decided to then that means he will be here in only 6 weeks! His size has been more average like Wyatt''s, versus''s Bethany''s tiny size. During the ultrasounds we can see that he has lots of hair.
Wyatt and Bethany are both teething like crazy. Bethany''s molars and several other teeth are coming in and Wyatt''s 2-year molars are coming in. Better now then after the baby is born! Bethany''s language is just exploding and she says many more phrases. She is quite the cuddle monster and gives plenty of kisses and hugs all day long. She has started telling me she''s gone potty in her diaper and loves to sit on the potty chair so I think that potty training will not be far off for her. Wyatt is a talker. He has so much to say! We are just amazed at all the new things he has learned. He is such an intelligent person and is especially great at fine-motor skills. He''s having a bit of a sleep regression right now where he has trouble going to sleep at night. I think that it may be time to drop naptime out of his day which is too bad for mommy. His very important job around the house is pressing the remote button that turns on all of our outside Christmas lights.
They are both enjoying their new play kitchen and we are enjoying eating all of the wonderful meals and snacks they prepare for us. Yesterday they made me salted oranges and fried grapes. Wyatt''s favorite thing to make me is "a hot drink" as he calls it. He gets the tea cup and pretends to put water in it. Then he puts it in the microwave and presses some buttons. Then he puts salt in it for me but I think he''s imitating me putting sugar in my coffee when he does that. So cute! Bethany likes to put a bunch of toy food in a bowl and stir it all up. Then it goes into the fridge a few times for the finishing touches.
