I had another look at our newest baby this morning. As soon as I saw the baby on the screen this time I thought "that is a boy". Just a feeling I suddenly got. We won''t be able to tell for a couple months still. He/she was REALLY moving around the entire time. The doctor had trouble getting pictures this time because of it. The baby is 1.5 inches long from head to butt. They don''t count the legs in the measurement. My uterus has already made it out of my pelvic cavity and my organs have been pushed up. I already look like I did when I was 18 weeks pregnant with Wyatt! Yikes. I''m feeling a lot better lately. The worst of my morning sickness seems to have passed (knock on wood). I''m still hit hard by the extreme exhaustion but that should let up in the next few weeks before returning again at the end. My latest odd craving is KoolAid.
We have one more ultrasound with this high-risk doctor in 2 weeks and then he hands me over to a regular OB. I am still searching for the right one. He recommended some that have specialized experience with complications and recommended that I do progesterone shots starting at 20 weeks. He said that research is showing that many women with prior histories of preterm labor have normal pregnancies while doing those shots. I''d like to find a doctor who is willing to try things like this, rather than just sit and wait for it to happen again.
Wyatt really keeps me busy all day long. He started clapping yesterday! He loves to explore the house and is still obsessed with Dobby''s dog dishes. I''m getting Dobby used to only eating when Wyatt is in the high chair. Wyatt is getting very fast at cruising along the furniture. He still falls down every time he lets go. I am in no hurry for him to walk! He has plenty of time to grow up. I let him watch 30 minutes of TV most days and he''s taken quite an interest in Sesame Street. I couldn''t be happier with what he chose because every other kids tv show has annoying songs that I can''t stand. He usually only concentrates on 10-15 minutes of the show and then plays with toys and comes back to it every now and then.
Today is our anniversary. The years have flown by so fast! Thanks for checking our website and thinking of us!
