It's been awhile since I've updated. We are all healthy and doing great. Our baby boy is growing wonderfully. My due date got moved up to Feb 16. When I'm still he punches and kicks and lets me know he's in there. He gets hiccups a lot. He's around 1.5 pounds now and 13-14 inches long.
Bethany is speaking so well. She's also following in her big brother's footsteps with finding ways to get into everything. We recently had to install a huge baby gate to block off our kitchen because keeping her off of the kitchen table was becoming a full-time job. She has also figured out how the child-proof cabinet latches work. She knows just how to pull it open a crack and then press down on the lever to get it open. She gets toys and moves them to use a step to get to even more things. I've rescued her off of the top of the piano many times. She loves to pull the little kid chairs up to the doors in order to reach doorknobs and then she opens and closes the doors over and over. My kids devote so much energy towards getting past all efforts to block them. If only they could channel this energy towards cleaning or something! She is SUCH a cuddly child. She gives so many hugs and kisses all day long and loves to just snuggle against us.
Wyatt has moments where he's eager and willing to sit on the potty so we've been following his lead with that. He's been learning his colors from popsickle flavors, which he refers to as "ice". It's so neat that we can carry on conversations with him. He didn't get the memo that Halloween is over and he carries his little pumpkin bucket around and comes up to us and says "trick or treat". He's so cute when he does this- how can we not give him a piece of candy! Wyatt and I have been doing parent-child swim lessons at the Y and he is making such great progress already. He doesn't like the parts where we go underwater but eventually he'll get more comfortable with that.
Wyatt and Bethany love to vacuum with me. When I get it out Wyatt runs to get his little vacuum and Bethany runs to get her ball popper. They also love to dance and ride various trucks for much of the day. Wyatt's favorite show is this ONE episode of Handy Manny where he rides a motorcycle and I think I have this episode memorized. Both kids like to watch Sesame Street and Backyardigans. They both refer to Backyardigans as "Foo-foos" and we have no clue where that came from but Wyatt started it.Comments:Add a comment:
